Announcements
Good morning snow bunnies and ski hounds! It’s fine spring conditions going into the last week of the 2007-2008 winter season. With a sturdy 88” base, 470 groomed acres of Colorado’s Best Corduroy and continued access to the country’s best Extreme terrain, Crested Butte Mountain Resort continues to provide great skiing and riding for locals and guests alike. Take advantage of our ½ price lift ticket special right now- present your pass from any other ski resort and receive ½ price lift tickets! What a great end of the season deal for all those committed skiers and riders out there!

A few notes from the snow report desk this morning…have you been to the Nastar course on the mountain? Well, now’s the time to test your speed with FREE PUBLIC NASTAR RACING from 10 to 4 today and tomorrow! Race against your own time or bring your most competitive friends…and remember, it’s not over until you cross the finish line. Check out the Nastar race course on Smith Hill this weekend!

Heads up for all you Extreme skiers…Due to warm conditions in the Third Bowl that sector will be closed to public access. The warming problem does not affect the entire area, so in an effort to provide access, the Ski Patrol will be running Third Bowl tours. Tours leave from the bottom of the North Face Lift at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Space is limited to 20 people on a first come, first serve basis. People may go on only one tour per day unless extra space is available. Don’t forget to thank the Ski Patrol for doing their best to continue to provide access to our great Extreme Terrain.

Looking to cash in to some great end of the season ski and snowboard sales? You won’t want to miss the annual Crested Butte Ski and Snowboard Demo Sale. Line up at the rental shop at the base of the Treasury Building tomorrow, Sunday, April 6 for doors to open at 8 am. Demo gear from this year includes skis from Salomon, K2, Atomic, Fisher and Rossi and snowboards from Burton. Skis with bindings will cost $250, snowboards with bindings will also be $250 while snowboards without bindings will cost $225. There is also a limited selection of skis from the 2006-2007 season, on sale now for $100. CBMR associates get $50 off all 2007 -2008 equipment by presenting their pass at the time of purchase. How’s that for a rockin end of the season sale?!

Come out and get yours this weekend at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. With perfect Colorado bluebird skies and terrific spring conditions, we expect the next week to be the cherry on top of this season’s sundae. I’ll see you on the hill!
