The sun is out, the birds are chirping and the early morning workers are out and ready to make this a spectacular last Tuesday of the ski season. Today is Tuesday, April 8th, 2008 and if you weren’t able to make it out yesterday, don’t fret because there is still plenty of amazing powder for you to get your skis or board down, in fact 9 inches came flowing down in the past 24 hours, while 17 have come down in the past 48, and 27 inches in the past 7 days, making the natural snow depth a whopping 100 inches!! On top of unbelievable ski conditions, expect to see partly cloudy skies today with temperatures reaching the lower 40’s-now if that’s not a stellar spring skiing day, I don’t know what is! Enjoy a scenic chair lift ride on one of the 12 lifts open today. Once you make your way off the lift, take your pick from one of the 101 trails that are open on the 1052 skiable acres available to you. The advanced and extreme terrain will continue having 100% of it’s incredible runs open where you’re sure to find powder no matter where you go, while 83% of beginner and intermediate is open giving you access to Colorado’s best corduroy allowing your turns to be nothing short of perfect. You can’t possibly make a bad decision today! Even though Mother Nature dumped close to a foot on us, it’s still nice and toasty outside. To make sure you’re comfortable and happy, stop by one of the retail shops located at the base of the mountain where you can find the latest spring skiing gear to outfit you and your loved ones. If you’re still finding it a bit chilly out, take advantage of the great spring deals going on throughout the entire base area, where you can find new ski and snowboard clothes that will help you look snazzier than ever! You only have 6 days left to ski or ride Colorado’s most unbelievable snow and terrain! Come out and see what paradise feels like!
