Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! It may be April, but Crested Butte is still enjoying the fruits of a fantastic winter. We’ve had nine inches of new snow in the last 48 hours, and we’re in the midst of yet another winter storm watch. The winter storm watch is currently in effect until 6 pm on Thursday and here’s what it means to those of us fortunate enough to be in Crested Butte during the last week of the season… Today, temps will reach into the mid to high 30’s and we’ll see snow showers throughout the day. We can expect 4-7 inches of the white stuff to fall today and another 5-10 inches tonight. For tomorrow, temperatures will be a little lower and we’ll see even more snow, possibly between 3-5 inches. Forecasters are calling for 40% chance of snow on Friday and then, as if we could expect any more out of this season, the weekend will be warm and sunny. Come celebrate the end of the season with the best-spirited locals in Colorado.
