Happy Thursday all you skiers and riders out there! The final week of the 2007-2008 ski season is upon us here in beautiful Crested Butte, and the conditions have never been better. I'm happy to report that we received 4 new inches of snow in the last 24 hours and an incredible 21 inches in the last seven days, bringing our season total to 422 inches! Our base now sits at 100 inches, topping the previous record from the 79-80 season when 415 inches fell. And by the looks of things, it's not over yet!
It is currently snowing up here as the day breaks and the snow should continue to fall all day! Today's temperatures will reach the high twenties and temperatures will gradually become warmer over the next few days! The snow should last through Friday and it looks like we can expect mostly sunny skies over the weekend giving us a beautiful end to a most spectacular season! There's plenty of powder on the Mountain, but if you enjoy the groomers, take a run on Jokerville because it is our groomer's choice for today.
Just a quick reminder, we currently have 11 of 16 lifts running. Peachtree, Goldlink, Teocalli, Twister and Mountain Schools Lifts are closed for the season. The Twister Lift will reopen for the closing weekend!
