It’s bittersweet, isn’t it? It’s bittersweet because we’ve had such an impressive season here in Crested Butte. The skiing and riding has been like never before. This season has been marked with frequent powder days, pristine slopes from snowfall to snowfall, unmatched “Colorado’s Best Corduroy,” and continued access to the best Extreme terrain in the country. It’s bittersweet because yesterday was a great day on the mountain, and today will be too…but then we’ll have to wait until next season to reap the benefits that every winter brings. Enough of that…it’s the last day of the season and that means a good time in Crested Butte. Expect to see many costumed individuals today, skiing and riding under cloudless, Colorado skies in temps reaching the low 50’s. Get out your one-piece snowsuits, beads, wigs, and skirts for this last day of shredding 400 acres of groomed terrain and 81% of our infamous Extreme Terrain. Celebrate by spending some much-deserved down time at the Paradise Warming House, Butte 66, the outdoor grill at the Atmosphere Restaurant and the Brown Lab Pub. Whether you’re with family or a slew of friends today, expect to see smiles abound and be sure to pass on the love. Today will be the last day for ½ price lift tickets for passholders from any ski resort in the country. Take advantage of this deal today, make the drive to Crested Butte, and see how bittersweet the end of a spectacular season can be.
