Announcements
Good morning skiers, riders and snow seekers! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Sunday, November 30, 2008.

You will be very glad to hear the snow totals this morning- we've had 5 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours, 7 inches in the last 48 hours and a total of 9 inches in the last 7 days. At 5 am, it is still snowing out there, and we've got a 27" natural snow base that continues to accumulate fresh powder. I suggest you go ahead and plan on getting up to the mountain today.

You could see a little wind throughout the day, so be sure to bundle up. But overall kids, this might just be the best powder day of the first week of our 2008-2009 ski season. You'll be skiing and riding on 11% of our total acreage today, accessed by the Red Lady Express, Teocalli and the Adult and Kids Magic Carpets.

Last, but certainly not least, our skilled cat drivers have selected Houston as the Groomer's Choice today...be sure to hit it up a couple of times before you take a mid-day break. This wind is bringing in the snow, folks. We've got high chances of snow the entire week. It's officially winter in Crested Butte.

What else is going on at Crested Butte Mountain Resort? I'm glad to announce we've got new digs for our rental shop, which will be featuring the best of the best in ski gear, including Salomon, Atomic, K2 and Rossi and nothin but the best, Burton, in the way of snowboarding. Check out www.skicb.com for details on our elite and sport equipment- we've got everything for the novice and the pro.

I'll be back again tomorrow morning with more good news...in the mean time, I'll see you on the hill!
