Announcements
Good morning! My dad likes to call the weekend the Workingman's Holiday, so Happy Holidays to you! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with Crested Butte Mountain Resort's snow report for Sunday, December 7, 2008. What a great week we've had here in Crested Butte. In the last seven days, we've had 13 inches of new snow and our fantastic mountain operations team has been able to open 4 lifts and 18 trails. We've got 110 groomed acres and a total of 138 acres open- the extra 28 giving you a chance to get off the corduroy and find your favorite early season stash.

Today's weather will look a lot like yesterday's- perfect skiing and riding weather, really. We'll have mild temperatures with a high of 39, calm winds and clear blue, sunny skies. Get a few turns in before the work week begins and be sure to ride the Groomer's Choice today, Paradise Bowl. You've got ten more days to get in on those early season FREE and 1/2 PRICE lift tickets...call Crested Butte Vacations for details at 1-800-810-7669.

Today, I want to mention a few of my favorite places to eat and relax with friends on the mountain. The Woodstone Bar & Grill is, by far, my favorite breakfast spot in Crested Butte. Located in the Grand Lodge Hotel, the Woodstone Grill features breakfast and dinner daily. For breakfast, enjoy a la carte specialties, but I suggest their buffet. This is a great place to power up for a day of skiing and riding. I also recommend their fantastic buffet and ample seating room for large groups and families.

For apres ski, Trackers is Mt. Crested Butte's most comfortable year-round bar and lounge. Trackers is located inside the luxurious Lodge at Mountaineer Square and not only is it well-stocked with high-end whiskeys, bottled beer, fine wines and a hearty European Alpine menu, but they also frequently have live music, fireside seating in cozy furniture and an outdoor patio. Trackers is the perfect place for a peaceful, refined drink or appetizer on the mountain- treat yourself on this fine Sunday.

Well, I am really looking forward to getting some fresh air riding up the Red Lady Express today. I am sure that everyone will be out with smiles on their faces...we've got great early season conditions and perfect Colorado weather. Come get yours at Crested Butte Mountain Resort- I'll see you on the hill!
