Good Morning! This is your Crested Butte Mountain Resort snow report for Thursday, January 15th! Great news all you extreme skiers and riders out there! I'm happy to announce that Phoenix/Spellbound is scheduled to open today for the first time this season, so grab a friend, get up on the Mountain, and check it out! With over 163 inches of snowfall this season and the continuous opening of new extreme terrain, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is a great place to come enjoy yourself! Currently 14 lifts are up and running. Please keep in mind while you are making your way around the Mountain today, that the Teocalli and the Twister lifts are closed Monday through Friday, but will be reopening on the weekends. Come up and enjoy yourself today on this fine Thursday morning on 94 trails all spread across 1152 acres or terrain. Seventy six of those trails have been groomed, so make sure and take a run down Crystal, because it is our groomers choice for today! We currently have a natural snow depth of 50 inches and the conditions on the Mountain today will be packed powder. We've got a 30% chance of precipitation possible today, but you can expect plenty of sunshine over the weekend with temperatures remaining in the mid to upper twenties! Are you looking to improve your skills on the hill this year? Well you can by calling Crested Butte Ski and Ride School and booking a lesson with one of their award-winning instructors! In addition to providing lessons for all levels of skiers and snowboarders, Crested Butte Ski and Ride School offers great workshops and local programs all designed to improve your skills on the hill!
