Phoenix/Spellbound are now open!

Yesterday, we opened Phoenix and Spellbound Bowls, increasing our total accessible terrain to 1152 acres. This means that in addition to 100% of our main mountain being open, 81% of our infamous Extreme terrain is also accessible. Skiers and riders can cruise down 70 groomed trails, and test their various skills on 24 additional ungroomed trails. We received no new snow in the last 48 hours and 9 inches in just the last week. With over 163 inches of snowfall season, and continuous opening of new extreme terrain, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is THE winter destination for your skiing and riding adventure. Currently, 14 lifts are up and running, and the groomer's choice is Mineral Point, just off the Red Lady Express. While you're making your way around the mountain today, please remember that the Teocalli and Twister lifts are closed Monday through Friday, but will be reopening on the weekends. We currently have a natural snow depth of 50 inches and the conditions on the mountain today will be packed powder. We've got a 10% chance of precipitation today, and an expected high of 30 degrees, but you can expect plenty of Colorado sunshine today and throughout the entire weekend.
