It is another unbelievable morning here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. On this Tuesday, the 20th of January, Colorado's infamous sun will shine brightly where temperatures will be in the low to mid 30's and remain that way through Wednesday. Then on Thursday, the chances for snowfall begin and will continue that way through the weekend, which will add on to the already spectacular 163 inches of snow the mountain has received this year. The groomers are continuing to work very hard throughout the night, creating Colorado's best corduroy on 69 out of 100 trails that are open on the main mountain. Ski patrol is working just as hard opening more of the Extreme terrain everyday. This weekend another rope was dropped, opening the front side Extremes and making the total Extreme terrain open, a whopping 86%! Today you can take your pick on one of the 15 out of 16 chair lifts running, taking you to any of the 1161 skiable acres open for your skiing and riding enjoyment. Keep in mind, Teocalli Lift will be closed Tuesday-Friday, but will reopen on the weekend. The sturdy 50 inch base is skiing and riding great; so whether you want bumps and jumps or groomers and cruisers, you're sure to make a stellar choice!
