Good Morning Skiers and Riders! This is your Crested Butte Mountain Resort snow report for Friday, January 23rd. Winter has returned to the Gunnison Valley overnight with 3 inches of new snow. I've got even more great news for all you powder lovers out there...snow is in the forecast for the entire longterm period meaning we should continue to see more snowfall throughout the rest of the week! Temperatures will also remain in the comfortable, lower thirties. So get ready folks, because we could be doing a bunch more powder skiing and riding over the next few days! Currently, 15 lifts are up and running, giving you access to 102 trails and 1191 acres of terrain! Keep in mind as you make your way around the Mountain today that the Twister lift is closed, but will continue to reopen on the weekends. If it's groomed runs you are in the mood for today, then you've got your choice of 70 trails to choose from. For the ultimate groomed run, take a ride down Crystal because it is our groomer's choice! We've had a fantastic season so far with 166 inches of snowfall, giving us a 50 inch base! One hundred percent of the main mountain is open as well as 93 percent of our famous extreme terrain. No matter what your skill level, there are always great runs for you to enjoy here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Whether you're renting equipment this season or bringing your own, stop by Crested Butte Rentals, newly relocated in the Treasury Center. This year they have over 100 sets and 18 different models of this years' hottest demo skis and snowboards!
