Happy Powder Day everybody! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the very abundant snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Sunday,January 25, 2009. You'll really like the stats this morning. In the last 24 hours, we've received 14 inches of new snow and a total of 19 inches in the last two days. The past seven days have dumped 22 inches of new snow on the mountain bringing our season snowfall total to a whopping 185 inches. We've had 6 inches of new snow since the lifts closed at 4 pm yesterday. Winter is in full effect! Today, we'll have 15 lifts up and running and 102 open trails to choose from, 70 of which are groomed by our awesome grooming team. Thanks to Ski Patrol and Snow Safety, we now have 1191 acres accessible to you and your ski buddies- 481 of which is groomed. 100% of our beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain, as well as 93% of our expert terrain, is waiting for you. Get off the phone and get on the bus; ski and riding season only lasts so long! Powder stashes are yours to find today. If you're curious about the extremes but have never ventured there, stop by the Adventure Center in Mountaineer Square and hook up with a Crested Butte Adventure Guide.
