Good morning skiers and riders! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Monday, February 2,2009. Did you know that in addition to 100% of our beginning, intemediate and advanced terrain, that we now have 93% of our extremes open? With a base of 58 inches at the top and 46 at midway, we have open terrain for skiers and riders of all levels and abilities. Today, 15 of our 16 lifts will be shuttling skiers and riders to 1192 accessible acres, 481 of which has been groomed. We have 102 open trails, with 77 groomed trails including today's Groomer's Choice, Championship.

Although we've had no new snow in the last 72 hours, we've had about a foot of snow over the last seven days. Today, we can expect partly cloudy and mostly sunny, bluebird skies, with temps reaching the high 20s. Currently, the temperature is 17 degrees and the skies are clear. It looks like the weather will remain the same throughout the first part of the week as well. It's already February, so if you haven't been skiing enough this winter, today's the day to change it. While the locals are out claiming their season's favorite runs, guests are also marking their territory and testing their abilities on the mountain. It's your turn now- get to Crested Butte if you know what's good for you!

Looking for the best deal to ski in Colorado this winter? Did you know that you can save up to 10% when you purchase lift tickets online? Purchase your lift tickets at least 7 days in advance and save. You can also save up to 25% when you purchase a lodging and lift ticket package. The friendly folks at Crested Butte Vacations are ready and waiting for your call at 1-800-810-7669; they can help you create just the right package for your winter adventure. Are your kids just learning how to ski? Are they ready to start skiing new terrain? You need Camp CB! Camp CB is not only the place to learn how to ski and snowboard, it's the place where kids rule. Kids get their own trail map to show them some awesome trails where adult skis won't even fit. The Kids' Terrain Park and a Jib Park are perfectly suited to getting the youngsters rippin' in style. The new and improved Camp CB is located slope side, at the ski base area in the Whetstone Building. Call Camp CB for information and reservations at 970.349.2259

That's all for now. I hope you get the chance to play hooky this week to get out and enjoy what the mountain has to offer. You won't regret it- the skiing and riding conditions are really fun right now. Have a great day and I'll see you on the hill!
