There is a lot of excitement happening here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort this weekend! We are in the middle of the 18th Annual Freeskiing World Tour! If you've already seen the Junior and Masters competitions, then get ready because there is more extreme action coming your way today. From 9:00am to 2:30pm athletes will compete for one of the most coveted titles in the sport of freeskiing, plus $20,000. will be awarded to top finishers as well as great prizes from a ton of well known sponsors. For the 18th consecutive year, Crested Butte has been the first official stop on the Freeskiing World Tour and with 241 inches of snowfall this year, the extreme slopes of Crested Butte are going to be some of the best venues for this amazing event!

Good Morning skiers and riders! This is your Crested Butte Mountain Resort snow report for Friday, February 20th. We've had an amazing season so far with 241 inches of snowfall, giving us a fantastic 62 inch base. Just in the last week we have received 18 inches of snow, so you can be sure to find plenty of powder still left on the Mountain today! Fifteen scenic lifts will give you access to 104 trails, all spread out across 1250 acres of terrain. If you feel like hitting the groomers today, then you've got 62 trails to choose from. For the ultimate groomed run, head over to Paradise Bowl because it is our groomer's choice! Today's temperatures will reach the high twenties and you can expect more of those pristine Colorado blue bird skies!

Also starting today, is the Dan Prater Memorial Cup ski race! This three-event, five-race series for the J-4 racers is a qualifier for the Alpine J4 Junior Olympics of the Central/Rocky Mountain Division. Athletes ages 11-12 will be competing for the honor of qualifying for the Junior Olympics!
