Good morning to you! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Wednesday, March 4, 2009. What a fantastic season it has been so far. We've had over 250 inches of snow and currently have a snow depth of 57 at the top and 46 at midway. With 1250 total acres open and 480 groomed acres, you can find your very own piece of paradise here in Crested Butte. Choose from 104 trails on the mountain, which are accessible to you via 15 lifts, including 4 high speed quads. Today we'll have 69 groomed trails, and the Groomer's Choice will be Ruby Chief. Today, we'll have a high of 43 degrees and we could see some windy conditions today and tomorrow with snow moving backinto the Gunnison Valley on Friday and Saturday. Spring conditions are in effect right now. Locals are out skiing and riding in their t-shirts, soaking up the Colorado sunshine and awaiting the next snow storm.
