Good Morning and Happy Friday Folks! This is your Crested Butte Mountain Resort snow report for March 6th. It is shaping up to be another beautiful, snow filled weekend with a 50 % chance of showers expected today and a 70% chance of showers expected tomorrow, which means we will be skiing and riding that beautiful Colorado Powder we all love so much! This new snowfall will be adding to an already fantastic season total of 255 inches. We currently have a base of 57 inches with 1250 total acres open, 480 of which have been groomed to perfection! Fifteen scenic lifts will transport you to any one of 104 trails that are waiting for you to come up and dig your edges into. Our hard working groomers have selected International as their choice for best groomed run on the Mountain today so don't forget to take a few runs and see what skiing and riding "Colorado's Best Corduroy" is all about! There are some amazing deals and very special events happening here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! To begin with, CBMR is having a spectacular Spring Pass Sale! From March 1st through April 5th, 2009-2010 season passes will be on sale at this year's prices! Not only is this a great deal, but you can begin using next season's pass for the remainder of the 2008-2009 season! That means you can lock in this year's pricing and enjoy an extra month of spring skiing and riding! Also, between June 1st and July 31st, Crested Butte Mountain Resort will be offering financing options for the purchase of all Platinum and Gold Passes. Check out the links on our website for more information on ways to help affordably, secure your pass for the 2009-2010 season! In other fun news, the Adaptive Sports Center is hosting the Survivor Celebration, starting today! Women who have gone through cancer are invited to take part in an energizing long weekend of outdoor adventures in Crested Butte! Adventures include alpine skiing, nordic skiing, and wellness activities like yoga or therapeutic dance. Women of all ages who have experienced any type of cancer are invited to join the celebration! For schedules, prices, or to register for this amazing event, call the Adaptive Sports Center at 349-5075. Also, starting tomorrow, Subaru is presenting the Master the Mountain event which will feature Free one hour group ski and snowboard lessons that will help you polish your skills on the hill! This great event will be happening throughout the weekend with additional activities taking place in the base area, so be sure and check it out!
