Good morning folks! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report you've been waiting for at Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Sunday, March 8, 2009. The wind from the past week blew in 5 inches of new snow in the last 24 hours, bringing our season snowfall total to 260 inches. We currently have a snow depth of 65 at the top and 52 at midway. With 1250 total acres open and 480 groomed acres, you can find your very own piece of paradise here in Crested Butte. Choose from 104 trails on the mountain, which are accessible to you via 15 lifts, including 4 high speed quads. Today we'll have 72 groomed trails, and the Groomer's Choice will be Crystal. On this fine Sunday, we'll have a high of 34 degrees and mostly sunny skies. There is a slight chance of more snow today and tomorrow with very snowy conditions arriving on Tuesday. Conditions are powder/packed powder and the Superpipe has been oh-so-freshly cut. Be sure to check the signs around the mountain for new openings and closings of terrain and lifts.
