Good morning Crested Butte Mountain Resort! It's the last day of March in 2009 and there's still plenty of snow covering the 1,087 skiable acres open. I am thrilled to report that 1 inch of new snow has fallen in the past 24 hours, 2 inches of snow has come down in the past the 48 hours, and almost 2 feet of snow has covered the ski area in the past week, making the total season snowfall so far this year a whopping 294 inches. Snow is expected to continue falling through Wednesday, with temperatures reaching the low to mid 20's. Colorado's infamous sunshine is expected to come out on Thursday and then snow is expected to return for the closing weekend! 70% of Crested Butte Mountain is open and available for your skiing and riding pleasure. This includes 96 unique and exciting trails, 66 of which the groomers have created Colorado's best corduroy on. 10 lifts are up and running, leading you to any kind of terrain you're after. The following lifts are now closed for the remainder of the season: Peachtree, the Mountain School Lifts, Teocalli, Prospect and Gold Link. The Twister Lift is also currently closed but is scheduled to reopen for closing weekend. There really is no reason to miss out on some of the best spring skiing out there! Are you having the time of your life and getting depressed that the season is coming to an end? Well Crested Butte Mountain Resort knows how to cheer you up! Right now, you can buy your 2009-2010 season pass at the lowest price ever! That's right, now until April 5th, lock in your next year's season pass and you can enjoy the last 6 days of this season for no additional charge!
