Eight inches of new snow Folks, is what we've received in the last 24 hours, with 2 of those inches falling since the lifts closed yesterday! What a way to start the last weekend of the season, with more powder on the slopes of Crested Butte! There have been so many POWDER days here in the last few weeks it's hard to keep count! Mother Nature has definitely been good to us this Spring, dumping 13 inches of snow in just the last 48 hours and 23 inches in the last 7 days! It's been great to see so many smiling faces on the busses and in the lift lines. No doubt there will be plenty more fun to be had today with the forecast calling for a 100% chance of precipitation! Temperatures will be a bit cooler today with highs expected to reach twenty degrees, so be sure and bundle up! With over 315 inches of snowfall this season, we've had an incredible Winter here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! We are enjoying a fantastic 79 inch base with 93 powder packed trails open for your skiing and riding pleasure! Currently 79% of the Mountain is open with 77% making up our beginner and intermediate terrain, 100% making up our advanced terrain, and 86% making up our always exciting, extreme terrain. Eleven lifts will transport you and your friends around the Hill today, including the Twister lift that has reopened for the closing weekend. Well , you've got two days left to hook your buddies up with a discounted day ticket! You wouldn't want them to miss out on all this good snow or the fun to be had on closing day! So grab your best friend and head up to the Adventure Center with your 2008-2009 Crested Butte Season Pass and Crested Butte Mountain Resort will hook your buddy up with a $30 discount off the regular adult ticket price! It's a great way to show your pass less friends some love as we wind down the season! Also, don't forget that you have two more days to lock in next year's season pass at this year's price! And you can use your next year's pass for the remainder of this weekend! And of course we all know what a great time closing day is in Crested Butte! There will be plenty of great costumes and activities going on, as well as fantastic skiing and riding conditions! There should be some nice deep powder on the Hill today, so do what you have to do to get out and enjoy the last weekend of the season with us here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort!
