Happy Thanksgiving skiers and riders! Today is Thursday, November 26th, 2009 and it's going to be another beauty here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. While the sun continues to shine brightly, temperatures are expected to reach the mid 40's today and stay that way through Friday. Mother Nature is planning on sending us a gift of snow this weekend, adding on to the 17 inch base that has already provided us with skiing and riding joys. Two lifts will be open today including the Kid's Magic Carpet and the Red Lady Express Lift. 49% of beginner and intermediate terrain is open, consisting of 5 trails, including Warming House Hill, Bubba's Ski Hill, Houston, Peanut, and Lower Keystone. For all you jibbers out there, the jib park on Lower Keystone is open and ready to get shredded on. Now's the time to sharpen those turns and perfect your skills at the rails and boxes. Thanksgiving is a wonderful way to bring family together, but why do all the work when someone else can do it for you! The Woodstone Grill, located in the Grand Lodge, is ready and excited to do all the cooking for you, while you enjoy time with your family, as well as a deliciously cooked Thanksgiving dinner. From 4:00-9:00 tonight, bring the whole family to get your thanks in the form of spruced up autumn cuisine by chef Dan Rossa and his crew. Reservations are recommended, so call the Woodstone Grill at 970-349-8030 for a meal that you will surely give thanks to. Skiing and riding on Crested Butte Mountain Resort's amazing terrain is the best way to start an unforgettable Thanksgiving. Bring out family and friends, work out those legs while making perfect turns, and end the day with a smile on your face knowing you had a phenomenal day!
