Good morning skiers and riders of Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Today is Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009 and what a lovely snow-filled day we have in store for you. So far 4 inches of snow has fallen in the past 24 hours and the snow is expected to continue coming down through Friday, adding on to the 94 inches Crested Butte has already received this season! Temperatures will reach the mid 20's today and drop to the upper teens by tomorrow. It's definitely looking like a white Christmas here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Thanks to the hard working snow makers, groomers, ski patrol, and of course, Mother Nature, 554 skiable acres are open, 390 of which are groomed, all on a powder packed 38 inch base. 85% of the entire mountain is open, which consists of 84 runs, that can be accessed by the 13 lifts that are open and running. The diligent groomers have created Colorado's best corduroy on 70 of those open runs and their groomer's choice of the day is Keystone. Please keep in mind, Twister Lift will be closed until the weekend and then reopen for Saturday and Sunday.
