Merry Christmas skiers and riders of Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Today is Friday, December 25th, 2009, and what a happy Christmas it is. With over 90 inches of snow that has fallen on Crested Butte's esteemed mountain so far this year, the skiing and riding is better than ever on the powder packed 38 inch base. With 85% of the mountain open, including 100% of beginning, intermediate and advanced terrain open, there is plenty of shredding for the whole family! Temperatures will reach the lower teens today with the chance of snow continuing through Saturday. Skies are expected to clear up by Sunday with temperatures rising to the lower 20's. On top of phenomenal weather, the terrain and snow is just as spectacular. You can take your pick on any of the 14 lifts that are open and running, leading you to 84 diverse and exciting trails, 71 of which are groomed to perfection by the hard working snow makers and groomers, who recommend International as their groomers' choice today. From Colorado's best corduroy to some of the best bumps in the world, Crested Butte Mountain Resort has something out there for everyone. The holidays are here and there's no better way to say "I love you" then with the gift of warmth and comfort at one of the greatest ski resorts in North America. In addition The Elevation Hotel and Spa, as well as The Grand Lodge shops carry jackets, boots, goggles and more to keep everyone snug as a bug and smiling too.
