Good Morning skiers and riders! Today is January 4th and it is another BEAUTIFUL day here in Crested Butte! The skiing and riding has been outrageously fun and the conditions on the Mountain have been superb! We had a good dump of snow over the weekend, bringing our total snowfall for the season up to 104 inches, and leaving us with a nice 38 inch base. With more snow stacking up, our Mountain Teams are focusing on opening up some extreme terrain, and we will keep you posted as soon as we hear of any new extreme terrain openings!

Fourteen lifts are up and running giving you access to 84 powder packed trails of pure fun and excitement! Our fearless and sleepless grooming teams have been working all night and have buffed out 70 trails of "Colorado's Best Corduroy"! Be sure and take a run down Lower Twister, because it is our groomer's choice for today! Temperatures are expected to reach 25 degrees today and the conditions on the Mountain will be powder/packed powder.

In other great news, the DC Superpipe is now open and ready for you test you skills on! The Superpipe is 400 feet long and 17 feet deep and provides a super smooth and consistent ride. Have fun and enjoy the views as you progress in the sport of freestyle skiing and snowboarding. Thanks to our incredible staff of cat operators and park technicians for their commitment to making all the terrain parks on the Mountain including the DC Terrain Park, the Keystone Jib Park, and the Painter Boy Terrain Park, fun and safe for all of us to enjoy!

Hitting the terrain parks is a great way to improve your skills on the Hill! But, if catching air and doing tricks is not your style, then why not take a lesson with one of Crested Butte Mountain Resort's award-winning instructors to help you improve your skiing or riding? Their expertise and local knowledge will give you the right tips and insight to take your skiing and riding to the next level. Crested Butte Ski and Ride School offers many different skill levels to choose from ranging from beginner to advanced. They even provide Extremes with Ease workshops for those who want to really get after it!

There is always something for everyone here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! With great terrain and beautiful conditions on the Mountain, there is no better place to be! Have a great day and we'll see you on the slopes!
