Good morning, my friends. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Saturday, January 30, 2010. If you're looking for Colorado Bluebird days, it's time to get to the Butte. We've had 16 inches of snow in the last seven days, and the skiing and riding is just as it should be this time of year. Our natural snow base is 48 inches at the top and 40 inches at midway and you'll be skiing on packed powder conditions. Currently, the skies are clear, the winds are calm and temperatures will reach the high twenties by mid-day.

85% of the mountain is now open to you, including 100% of the beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain as well as 59% of our infamous Extremes. This territory totals out to 876 accessible acres and 84 trails from which to choose. Crested Butte Mountain Resort features Colorado's Best Corduroy and we've got 61 groomed trails to conquer on 360 acres at the mountain. The Groomer's Choice for today is Ruby Chief. The Superpipe in Paradise Bowl is open and freshly cut, so if the X-Games have inspired you, try your hand at our Superpipe.

The weather for the next few days looks promising. Today, skies will be partly cloudy as a new system of snow moves into the area. Tomorrow and Monday, Crested Butte should see snow showers once again, and we'll have slightly lower temperatures to welcome that new snow on the mountain. Skiing and riding is epic right now in the Butte- you can take my word for it.

I generally don't talk about Hallmark holidays before the week they arrive, but this Valentine's Day lodging special should be booked sooner than later. Plan a romantic getaway at the highly-acclaimed Elevation Hotel & Spa for two nights, one day of skiing and a $100 spa credit. The Elevation Hotel & Spa is Crested Butte's well-known and most luxurious spot to renew your love life and for only $136 per person per night, you'll get the best room in the house and get pampered at Crested Butte's very best spa. You could pair this special with a Sleigh Ride or Last Tracks dinner at Uley's Cabin and really make the most of your Valentine's Day in Crested Butte. Obviously, this is a limited time offer and rooms are going fast. Call 1-800-810-7669 to book your mid February getaway to the most unique mountain town in Colorado.

Well, folks, I hope you have a great day- and if you aren't already in Crested Butte, seriously ask yourself what is more important than great skiing on bluebird days in the heart of the Elk Mountain Range. This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty signing off; I'll see you on the hill.
