Announcements
Good morning guests and locals! This is Colorado's very own Snow Betty with the snow report for Crested Butte Mountain Resort on Saturday, February 27, 2010. The forecasters are calling for snow showers today through Monday, so keep your fingers crossed if you are ready for some likely powder days in the Butte. So far this season, we've received 188 inches of infamous Colorado powder, giving us a very ridable natural snow depth of 61 inches at the top and 52 inches midway up the mountain.

Today skiers and riders can choose from 15 lifts, including 4 high speed quads that quickly get you as close as we can to the top of Crested Butte Mountain. Our acreage is expansive- we have a total of 1144 acres and 111 trails to conquer. And with 98% of our terrain open, you should be hitting up our infamous extremes. If you're new to skiing the Extremes, you should definitely put a call into the Crested Butte Ski and Ride School. With our Extremes with Ease programs, you can take your skiing or riding to the next level with a guide to keep you safe and increase your knowledege of Extreme skiing. Call the Ski and Ride School at 1-800-444-9236 to get more information on learning to ski our notorious Extremes.

I love getting steep and deep in Crested Butte, but I've also been known to spend quite a bit of time on "Colorado's Best Corduroy." For my fellow groomer lovers, we have a total of 59 trails to ski or ride, including today's Groomer's Choice, International.

It's not too late to make plans for the month of March. Plan your springish getaway at the highly-acclaimed Elevation Hotel & Spa for rates that are 25% lower than any other time of the season. The Elevation Hotel & Spa is Crested Butte's well-known and most luxurious hotel, a great spot to get your ski or ride on and get pampered at Crested Butte's finest spa. Consider pairing this special with a Sleigh Ride or Last Tracks dinner at Uley's Cabin- our newest on-mountain dining experience. Obviously, this is a limited time offer and rooms are going fast. Call 1-800-810-7669 to book your March getaway to the most unique mountain town in Colorado.

It's a great time of year to visit Crested Butte, and the next month or so will be snow-filled and sunny. Visit skicb.com or call 1-800-810-7669 to make your reservations for this season. And I'll see you on the hill.
