It's Friday Folks, and it looks like it's going to be another BEAUTIFUL day on the Hill! With 1144 acres of terrain open for you to ski or ride, you are guaranteed a good time on the Mountain! From heart pumping extreme terrain, to smooth, rolling, groomed trails, there is always something for everyone here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! Hop on any one of 15 lifts that will take you wherever you need to go on the Mountain today! You'll have access to 111 trails all spread out across a powder packed, 55 inch base. Be sure and take a run down International, because it is our groomer's choice for today! With a season total snowfall of 192 inches, the skiing and riding couldn't be better. Skies are partly cloudy as the day breaks and you can expect temperatures to reach 32 degrees. We are looking at another fantastic day here in Crested Butte, and a great start to the weekend! Today while you are enjoying yourselves on the Hill, be sure and check out the USASA Southwest Series Superpipe Competition! If you are interested in competing, the cost is $25 per event. All Competitions start at 11:00 a.m. Skiers are welcome to compete in the Slopestyle and Superpipe events and Boarder cross events. For more information, call 970-349-2286 . Watch for skiers and riders in tropical dress tomorrow on the Hill as participants join in the fun at the Crested Butte Mountain Heritage Museum's, First Annual Winter FUNdraiser, The Beach Ball Express! They will be hosting a ski vanger hunt and as well as a raffle with great prizes and of course prizes for best individual and team costumes. Believe me, a good time is guaranteed to be had by all! Big Air on Elk is also returning this year and will take place on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte tomorrow night between 5 and 10 p.m. Main street will be transformed into a terrain style kicker that skiers and boarders will be towed into by snowmobiles. You won't want to miss this exciting event! With great skiing and riding conditions, beautiful Colorado Blue bird skies, and fun events happening this weekend, Crested Butte Mountain Resort is where you want to be!
