OPENING DAY, DECEMBER 14!
Crested Butte will be hosting a mini terrain park contest next to and including the new snowskate park at the base area, Saturday, December 14. Prizes, beverages and a Hall of Fame Bar & Grill discount coupon will be included in competitor registration which is open to the public. EARLY OPENING, DUE TO ABUNDANT SNOWFALL!
Crested Butte Mountain announced today, the resort will open Thanksgiving weekend, two weekends earlier than planned due to the abundant snowfall they have enjoyed the last month. The mountain will open for weekends only, November 29th, 30th and December 1st and again on December 7th and 8th.

Keystone Lift and ski school’s two magic carpets will be open for the early weekends. Lift tickets will cost $20.00 unless more lifts are opened. Season passes will be good for both weekends. The lift ticket office is currently open 8:30 – 4:30, Monday through Friday, but may stay open later as the weekend grows closer. Please call (970) 349-2262 for information.

The Gothic Center will be open on a limited basis during the early weekends: 1) the ski and snowboard school sales office will be open to book lessons, 2) ski and snowboard rentals will be available through the rental shop, 3) a limited menu will be offered through the Gothic Cafeteria. Parking will be free in the ski area parking lot.

Kid’s World will be open from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 3:30 PM. All day lessons will be available for $40.00 and half-day lessons will cost $20.00. Helmets are required for children 12 and under. Call (970) 349-2252 for further information.

Adult ski and snowboard school group lessons will take place at 9:45 AM and 12:45 PM. All group lessons will cost $20.00 per person. Private lessons will be available at their normal price. Call (970) 349-2252 for further information.
