OFFICIAL OPENING DAY, DECEMBER 14! To celebrate the opening, Crested Butte will be hosting a jib contest at the base area debuting its new snowskate park. The event is open to the public and registration (includes awards party) will be in the One Track Mind snowboard shop. For competitor information, please call 970-349-6121. Snow industry companies will be at the mountain offering demos for skiing (alpine and telemark) and snowboarding. The ski area will be introducing its new restaurants--the slopeside, Hall of Fame Bar and Grill, its mid-mountain sexy Ice Bar & Restaurant and Andiamo Italian Restaurant, offering great food, fine drinks, ice babes, apres ski and live music. CALLING ALL FRONT RANGE SKIERS! All of those who have season passes to those crowded interstate highways resorts, come ski on us through Christmas Day.
