"Let’s Get Ready to Ski Night!" Tonight, December 14, attend a FREE Community Pep Rally to "Pump Up" for the 2002/2003 Ski and Snowboard Season, held at Center for the Arts, 8:00 p.m. The evening will include brief comments from John Norton, Woodie Sprouse and Linda Powers. Watch excerpts from the "best-of" Matchstick Productions and Two Plank Productions. In addition, Kim Reichhelm will be introducing our Crested Butte Mountain sponsored athletes. Local retailers will be offering special discounts throughout the evening, available only by attending the event. Crested Butte Mountain will be offering their 5-Day Punch card at the June rate of $189.00 available ONLY between 9:00 - 10:00 p.m.; offering locals one last chance to get on the mountain this season.

TODAY IS OPENING DAY!! To debut today’s opening of CB’s new snowskate park, Crested Butte will be hosting a jib fest, with features such as 2 spine rails, 6 rails and 2 picnic tables, on Warming House Hill. The event is open to the public and registration will be in the One Track Mind snowboard shop. For competitor information, please call 970-349-6121. Snow industry companies are at the mountain offering demos for skiing (alpine and telemark) and snowboarding. The ski area will be introducing its new restaurants--the slopeside, Hall of Fame Bar and Grill, its mid-mountain sexy Ice Bar & Restaurant and Andiamo Italian Restaurant, offering great food, fine drinks, apres ski and live music. CALLING ALL FRONT RANGE SKIERS! All of those who have season passes to those crowded interstate highways resorts, come ski on us through Christmas Day.
