There’s not a bare patch of ground in sight and the mountain’s 24 inch base is always growing with the help of brand new snowmaking equipment. Currently it is 28 degrees under mostly cloudy skies with a 30 percent chance of snow showers this afternoon. The forecasted high is 35 degrees with an expected overnight low of 0 to 10 below.
Red Lady Express and the child and adult magic carpets will open this Saturday to kick off the season and more lifts and terrain will open soon. Opening day for Crested Butte Mountain Resort is just two days away on Saturday, November 19.
