Good morning all you skiers and riders! Happy Holidays to all! It's another beautiful day here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! We've got partly sunny skies today with temperatures in the high teens. I'm very happy to report that we received 4 new inches of snow in the last 24 hours and we can expect more snow to fall by Sunday. We've got a 46 inch base at the top of the mountain and a 31 inch base at midway. It's shaping up to be a beautiful day today with powder and packed powder conditions. Three hundred of our 950 acres are groomed and we have 16 out of 16 lifts open and running! That's right, all lifts are fully functioning so come on up and enjoy yourself! We've got 99 trails open for your skiing and riding pleasure! That's 99 trails of fun fun fun! Don't forget to take a run down Jokerville because it is out groomer's choice for today!
We've got all sorts of Holiday fun happening here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Our very own Atmosphere Bar and Restaurant will be hosting two Christmas Eve events. Join them for dinner from 5-10 p.m. for their special holiday menu or indulge in a fabulous Christmas Day Brunch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Both include a complimantary glass of champagne or Maker's Mark and Egg nog. Reservations are recommended and the Atmosphere Bar and Restaurant can be reached at 970 349-8734.
Are you looking for something really cool to do this Christmas Eve? Why not join CB Mountain Schools for their annual torchlight parade? At dusk, instructors will ski in formation from the top of the Silver Queen Chair Lift, down the front of the mountain to the base area. Kids torchlight parade also takes place through Kids World. Need a tune up this Holiday season? Well we've got the perfect solution. Why not purchase a "tune card" from Crested Butte Ski and Snowboard Rental and Repair Shop? With the "tune card" you'll receive 5 tunes for $150.00. That means you save $75.00! What a screaming deal! Visit the Outpost in the old Gene Taylor building at the base area for "tune cards" and last minute skiing and riding necessities.
