Happy New Year from all of us here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! It's 2K8 so make a date with Crested Butte Mountain Resort! With 1136 acres, 480 groomed acres, 16 lifts and 105 trails open, there is plenty of terrain open to ski or snowboard your heart out on this beautiful first day of 2008! Carve your first turns of 2008 down the 10 inches of snow we received in the past 48 hours (and 20 in the past 7 days!) You can expect to see sunny, spectacular bluebird skies this Tuesday, the first of January with highs in the lower 20's. Conditions will stay that way throughout the end of the week. Take your pick from the 94% of the mountain that's open, which includes 100% of beginner, intermediate, and advanced terrain open and 94% of extreme terrain open. Talk about a Happy New Year!

Tired of making New Years resolutions that you can't keep? Let Crested Butte help you fulfill all your promises you are making to yourself this year. Wanting to spend more time with the family? Crested Butte has terrain that fits the needs of all types of skiers and riders so everyone in the family can stick together and be happy at the same time! Itching to lose those last holiday pounds? Try skiing or riding down the always enjoyable Teocalli Bowl where the 15 minute walk out will help anyone break a sweat. Just wanting to get a little healthier? Shredding turns on any trails, including the groomer's choice of Ruby Chief is enough to get your heart racing. No matter what your resolution is, Crested Butte can help you make it happen!

Don't forget there are plenty of restaurants located throughout the mountain to make anyone's mouth water! Grab a morning pick-me-up at the Woodstone Deli located in the Grand Lodge, or end your day on the slopes with a scrumptious meal at the lovely Atmosphere Restaurant located in the Elevation Hotel. Just want to grab a quick bite and go? Stop by Paradise Warming House, where you will find your favorite ski time snacks including juicy burgers, hot and always satisfying chili, and of course, everyone's delight-french fries! Sit-down restaurants on the mountain include Butte 66, the Atmosphere Restaurant at the Elevation Hotel, The Woodstone Deli at the Grand Lodge, The Avalanche Bar and Grill, the Labrador Bakery and Pub, Camp 4 Coffee and The Firehouse, located in the Plaza Building. Find great food and classic Crested Butte atmosphere at any of these dining locations. To avoid the crowds, we suggest to eat early or late and ski during the noon hour to get even more turns down this amazing mountain!
