Good Morning all you skiers and riders out there! Are you in the mood for some powder skiing this morning? Well I hope you are because it is dumping, yet again, here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! The big fat flakes are falling down hard as the morning breaks and it looks like it will continue throughout the day! I'm happy to report that we received three new inches in the last 24 hours and today's weather is calling for snow snow snow on this beautiful Friday morning! And the best news is, the ropes will be dropping on Pheonix today so get ready folks because it's going to be a STELLAR day on the Mountain!
Today's temperatures are expected to reach the lower twenties and you can enjoy similar temperatures throughout the weekend. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with clouds breaking up just a little bit by Sunday. The winds are calm this morning and the conditions on the Mountain today are Powder! If it's groomers you are looking for, don't worry because we've got 480 acres of "Colorado's Best Corduroy" right here for you to enjoy! Be sure to take a run down Championship because it is our groomer's choice for today!
Never skied powder before? Well call Up CB Mountain Schools this morning and sign yourself up for a ski or snowboard lesson. Let their talented and professional instructors teach you how to properly carve it up on this beautiful snowy morning! They'll teach you all you need to know to navigate your way down the powdery slopes with style. CB Mountain Schools can be reached at 970 349-2252.
Don't forget to take a break today and visit the Paradise Warming House! At Paradise you can find cafeteria-style breakfasts and fresh lunches offering gourmet deli sandwiches, super salads and a selection of daily homemade soups and chili. Enjoy their outdoor grill, extensive seating and spectacular views. Paradise is located on the mountain at the base of the Paradise Lift and they are open for breakfast and lunch.
If you start to get a little thirsty and want to take a break but don't want to stray too far from the slopes, just take a run down to the Ice Bar and Restaurant located at the bottom of the Twister Lift. There you can find plenty of wonderful beverages to sip on while you take in the spectacular views!
