Announcements
Although I cannot report that we have any new snow, I can report that not only is snow in the forecast for Tuesday night through Friday, but we are looking at the perfect day to hit the slopes on this Tuesday morning, the 15th of January 2008. With sunny, bluebird skies and temperatures in the lower 30’s, put on your sunscreen and hop on one of the 16 lifts open to satisfy your need for speed. Enjoy the hefty 63 inch base and a whopping 1177 acres of ski able terrain, 460 of which is groomed. 100% of the country’s best terrain is open here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort, including 106 trails. From Colorado’s best corduroy to the most extreme runs you can point your skis down, there’s something here for everyone.

Just starting to ski or snowboard, congratulations, get ready for the most exciting time of your life! Crested Butte grooms every green and blue run nightly to make sure you are learning on the best! For all you powder hounds out there, get your skis or board on some of that delicious white fluffiness that’s still all over the mountain.

Regardless of your level of skiing, it can’t hurt to get some great advice from the experts. Take advantage of the fantastically staffed Crested Butte Mountain School where there are pros who can teach just about anything from steep groomers to fast-paced moguls- they can even teach you how to huck off jumps and bumps!

Calling all park lovers out there! The DC Terrain Park will be closed today for reconstruction due to all the new snow. But don't worry, the Superpipe is cut and groomed for your shredding pleasure! Don’t forget to thank our park and grooming crews for pushing that snow around and perfecting the DC sponsored Terrain Park.

After a long days work on the slopes, treat your body to some tender loving care at The Wildflower Spa, located in the Grand Lodge. The staff is trained in any sort of pampering your body can ask for. For more information call them at 800.823.4446.

Enjoy the sun, the packed powder conditions and everything else Crested Butte has to offer you!
