Announcements
Crested Butte Mountain Resort received another wonderful gift from Mother Nature- 1 inch of fresh snow overnight, a perfect sparkle for the mountain! AND there is a 70% chance of more snow for this 16th day of January, 2008. I’m thinking our odds are pretty good to having a fanstatic day on the slopes. You can enjoy 100% of the most unbelievable terrain here at Crested Butte, with 16 lifts open, 106 trails, and 1177 ski able acres, 460 of which are groomed. Temperatures will most likely stay in the single digits, but that’s okay because with the amount of powder out there, you’re legs will get the perfect workout to help warm you up pretty quickly!

It’s looking like another perfect day in Paradise! Paradise, a.k.a. Crested Butte Mountain Resort, has a 62 inch base, allowing you to carve beautiful turns on the greens and blues that are groomed nightly or find that powder that can still be found in most places throughout the mountain.

So while you’re here, why not take a break and see what a real cheeseburger in paradise tastes like? With so many options around the mountain to satisfy your taste buds, you probably won’t even need to wait in line. If you’re looking for a quickie, stop on by Paradise Warming House, which has all the essential skier-friendly foods including cheeseburgers, soups and delicious subs and salads. If you are looking to take a little longer break, head on down to the base area where you can enjoy spectacular views from the deck of Butte 66 while taking down a BBQ style lunch or treat yourself to a little fancier lunch at the Atmosphere Restaurant located in the Elevation Hotel. No matter what your stomach is saying, all your possible cravings will be fulfilled.

Heads up all you jibbers. The DC Park will continue to be closed today to allow the groomers and park crew to make sure all finishing touches are perfected! With the park re-opening tomorrow, Thursday, January 17th, come in to the Colorado Freeskier and check out all of this year’s sweet park skis now 10 – 15% off! The pipe is cut. Come get your “pipe tune” from the “Best Ski Tune in the Butte”! Stay warm and dry with all of their 07-08 women’s outerwear and all of their puffys now 15% off! The Colorado Free Skier is located underneath the Labrador Bakery, trust me your nose will have no problem finding the place!

January is a perfect time to come out and play here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Whether it’s making those luscious turns on Colorado’s best corduroy or hucking off cliffs in the extremes, Crested Butte has something out there for everyone. Come see what Paradise really feels like!
