I can honestly say that this Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008 could probably be one of the better hump days you’re going to have in a while! With 100% of the country’s best terrain open, including 106 trails and 16 lifts, and sunny, bluebird skies with temperatures in the mid 20’s, skiing and riding Crested Butte Mountain Resort can’t get much better than this! We have received over a half a foot of snow in the past 48 hours and more snow is in the forecast for the weekend! Cruise down the 62 inch base, which covers 1177 ski able acres, 480 of which are groomed to perfection! Venture out to the terrain that is sure to have any skier or rider cry tears of joy once realizing how much powder still covers the extreme terrain. No matter what your pleasure, Crested Butte can help you find it! After a long day of working your legs down Colorado’s best corduroy or hucking off gnarly cliffs and bumps, take a break at one of the many après ski locations found throughout the mountain. Whether it’s enjoying the view of the picturesque mountains that surround Crested Butte at the Ice Bar, the hard-to-beat deals at Butte 66, or a little fancier nighttime cap at the Atmosphere Restaurant, there’s a place out there for anyone.
