Have you been sitting there dreaming of carving up fluffy, white snow on your skis or snowboard? Well today is your LUCKY day because that's precisely what you'll be doing on this beautiful Saturday morning! I'm happy to report that we received 6 new inches of snow in the last 24 hours and the forecast is calling for a whole lot more to fall over the weekend. In fact, there is a winter storm watch for the area from Sunday afternoon through Monday afternoon. So get ready all you powder lovers because it looks like you'll be enjoying more powder skiing over the next few days!
One hundred percent of the terrain here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort is open for you to ski or ride! That means 106 trails, of fantastic terrain of all skill levels, are sitting here just waiting for you to come up and enjoy. We currently have a base of 79 inches! The conditions on the mountain this morning are powder and packed powder and the groomer's choice for today is Jokerville. Temperatures will remain in the lower to mid twenties throughout the weekend. Come up and see what everyone is smiling about! It's going to be a perfect time to get up to the Mountain and experience Colorado skiing at it BEST!
All the powder skiing you'll be doing over the weekend is surely going to build up your appetite. Whether it's fuel to start your bodies in the morning or a mid afternoon snack to keep you going, stop by one of the delicious eateries located throughout the Mountain. Crested Butte Mountain Resort has everything from a gourmet lunch at Atmosphere Restaurant located at the base of the Mountain, to a mouth-watering burger at Paradise Warming House located on the Mountain. No matter what your taste buds are craving, we've got what you're looking for and only a snowball toss away!
Need a break? Looking to warm yourself up with a wonderful hot cocoa and schnapps or a delicious afternoon martini? Don't fret because we've got the perfect place for you. You can ski right up to the Ice Bar located at the bottom of the Twister Lift. It's a great place to sit for a while and enjoy the specatacular views while sipping on one of their many specialy drinks!
