Want to know what everyone is smiling about? Well Just get up on the Mountain today and you'll find out! We've had an amazing season and the powder has been extra deep this year! I'm happy to report that we received two new inches in the last 24 hours and today's forecast is calling for 100 percent chance of more snow! Today's storm is expected to last until tomorrow afternoon, so yes we will be skiing and riding more of that powder that we love so much! Today's temperatures will reach the lower twenties and the winds will be calm and blowing at about 5 mph. We've got a whopping natural snow depth of 79 inches! All the terrain is open with 106 trails ready for you to come up and enjoy! Four hundred and eighty acres have been groomed and our groomers choice for today is Bushwacker. Good news! The Half Pipe Competition is on! This is the second event in a five-part series, going on Today! Come up and show us what you've got in the DC Superpipe! Competitors will vie for great prizes and their chance at 15 minutes of snow fame! Five competitive divisions include ages 10 and under, 11-14, 15-17, 18 and over, and an Open Class for the more highly competitive folks. Skiers and snowboarders, men and women, are all judged seperately. The cost to compete is $22 plus a $5 bib deposit.
