Announcements
It’s another day in Paradise here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. On this Tuesday morning, the 5th of February 2008, I am thrilled to report that we’ve received three inches of fresh snow in the past 24 hours! You can enjoy 100% of the mountain today under sunny skies and temperatures in the upper teen’s. 1177 skiable acres are open for your skiing and riding haven, of which 480 are groomed. Take a ride on one of the 16 chair lifts giving you access to 106 unbelievably powder-packed trails with the 19 inches of snow we’ve received in the past 48 hours and almost FIVE feet we received in the past 7 days! No matter where you ski or ride today, you’ll feel like you’re on cloud nine, and with all that powder, you’ll look like it too!

Still new to skiing in all that powder? Crested Butte Mountain Schools is your answer! The ski school professionals know a thing or two about skiing and riding and they know how to have a fun time doing it too! The ski school office opens at 8 am, so stop on by the Axtel Building, located at the base of Silver Queen Lift and learn from the pros!

Today is Mardi Gras! All Crested Butte Mountain Resort retail shops have Mardi Gras beads for sale, so join in on the fun and show your southern pride! Once you’re done cruising down Colorado’s Best Corduroy or carving beautiful turns down powder, and you’ve enjoyed your après ski drink at one of the base area restaurants such as Butte 66 or Atmosphere Restaurant, head on into town where you can see the true spirit of Crested Butte on Elk Street where a parade will light up the street!

It’s a day for powder turns, great weather and fun! Come out and enjoy Crested Butte today!
