Announcements
Greetings and salutations! It looks like we are getting a well-earned reprieve from the recent snowstorms. We saw a little of the white stuff yesterday morning, but cloudy skies quickly gave way to the perfect Colorado bluebird skies that we know and love. Today will be yet another banner day for Crested Butte Mountain Resort, with a high of 32 degrees and sunny skies.

Head on up to the hill and find 480 acres of Colorado’s Best Corduroy, and be sure to make note of the groomer’s choice, Ruby Chief. We have a total of 106 trails open and 1177 acres of open terrain- no matter what your skill level, I have a feeling that today will inspire to find your own perfect run! I also suggest you remember to bring your camera with you today- the views of the surrounding valley s and mountains are stupendous from each of our full-speed quads- the Silver Queen, Red Lady Express, Paradise and East River. Crested Butte is really magical right now- capture as much of it as you can!

Whether you are out to catch some speed on the groomers, test your agility on the bumps, find your own powder stash, or “huck your meat” in the Extremes, you’re going to need a recharge. One of my favorite things to do on a full-day of skiing or riding is to hit up the Camp 4 Coffee at the top of Painter Boy. Coffee drinks, baked goods and smiling faces are always abundant at Camp 4- stop by and get yours today!

If you’re still looking to make reservations for a special dinner with your Valentine this week, consider dining at the Atmosphere Restaurant in the Elevation Hotel. For starters, begin with the Winter Harvest Red Pear Salad, and then feast on the Roasted Pepper and Smoked Pork Pot Pie or their infamous Colorado Rack of Lamb. For dessert, share White Chocolate Bread Pudding with your sweetie. Call 970-349-8734 to make reservations for your Valentine’s Day dinner.

It’s a stellar weekend here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. Come enjoy the fruits of our latest snow storm while soaking up that legendary Colorado sunshine- expected intermittently all week! I’ll see you on the hill.
