Announcements
Good morning Crested Butte! Today is Tuesday, February 19th and boy do we have a nice day in store for you! You can expect to see sunny skies and highs in mid to upper 30’s! Ski or ride on the delicious 85 inch base and coast down 100% of the mountain, including 1177 ski able acres, 470 of which are groomed, and the 16 chair lifts running giving you access to 106 trails. Put on your sunscreen and see what a day in Paradise feels like.

With all the powder Crested Butte has received, I’m sure you’ve hucked off your share of jumps and cliffs. Well this week at Crested Butte, you can enjoy watching others huck their stuff off some of the most extreme terrain in North America! The 17th Annual U.S. Extreme Freeskiing Championship begins tomorrow, Wednesday, February 20th. Watch as both males and females, young and masters teach you a thing or two about what having guts is all about! The championships will start on Wednesday with the Junior Big Mountain Qualifiers. If you can ride a blue and hike a little, you can watch from the bottom of each venue, which are announced on the white boards every morning of the competition.

Don’t forget to take a break every now and then while skiing this amazing mountain. Whether is a cold Powerade you’re craving or a juicy cheeseburger, Crested Butte Mountain Resort has plenty of dining to satisfy your every need. Stop by the base and pick from the many eateries such as Butte 66 or Atmosphere Restaurant or take a breather while on the hill at Paradise Warming House, where their food and beverage options are endless!

Sunny skies, warm temperatures, and terrain that is incomparable to any other place-Crested Butte is the place to be!
