Good morning all you skiers and riders! The flakes are falling down lightly this morning and I'm happy to report that we received another 1 inch of snow in the last 24 hours! You can look forward to light snow showers throughout the day with temperatures expected to reach the mid twenties. Tomorrow's weather will be sunny and clear with light snow showers rolling in by Tuesday.
It's currently 22 degrees with calm winds flowing at about 4 mph. We've had an amazing season with 345 inches of snowfall so far! Our natural snow depth is 89 inches and the surface conditions on the Mountain today will be powder and packed powder. All lifts are running and 100 percent of the terrain is open for you to ski or ride. Four hundred and eighty acres have been groomed overnight and our groomers choice for today is International.
Good news! The DC Slopestyle Competition is set for Today! This is the third event in a five-part series! Come up and show us what you've got in the DC Terrain Park located under the Paradise Chair Lift. Competitors will vie for great prizes and their chance at 15 minutes of snow fame! Five competitive divisions include ages 10 and under, 11-14, 15-17, 18 and over, and an Open Class for the more highly competitive folks. Skiers and snowboarders, men and women, are all judged seperately. The cost to compete is $22 plus a $5 bib deposit. Registration will be held in the Capital Room at the Elevation Hotel, from 8:00am to 9:30 am. For more information contact Keitha at 970-349-2217 or e-mail events@cbmr.com.
