It is a spectacular morning here on the slopes at Crested Butte Mountain Resort. On this lovely 4th day of March, brace yourself for another unforgettable ski day. You can expect temperatures to reach the lower 30’s today with partly cloudy skies and the chance of snow that should last through Thursday. Enjoy the view from the 15 chair lifts open giving you access to 1177 ski able acres, 460 of which are groomed by Crested Butte’s hard working groomers. Take your pick from the 107 trails that are open, ranging from the smoothest cruisers to the leg working bump runs spread throughout the mountain. With packed powder conditions and an unbelievable 83 inch base, anything you choose to point your skis or snowboard down will be nothing but great! The groomers recommend Bushwacker as their groomer's choice today. After a hard day of skiing you hopefully had yesterday or maybe you’re not getting up as easily as normal, you may need a good old cup o’ Joe to help get your day really started. On your way off the bus, stop in the Wood Stone Deli where the friendly staff can whip you up your favorite jolt of caffeine anyway you like it. Need a mid day pick-me-up? No problem! Camp 4 Coffee has two easy-to-get-to locations, one at the top of Painter Boy lift and one located in the Lodge at Mountaineer Square for all your caffeine needs! They also serve up a tasty burrito and other goodies for both meat lovers and vegetarians in case you’re in the mood for more than just a cup of coffee. There’s still plenty of snow out there to give your legs quite the workout! Why not give treat yourself to a relaxing après ski massage? The Wildflower Spa, located in the Grand Lodge has a menu of services available including a wide range of massages, waxing and a whole lot more.
