It’s another splendid morning here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! You made it through Monday and now on to Tuesday it is! On this fine March 11th morning, you can expect to see sunny skies with temperatures in the upper 20's. I am happy to report that we have received 2 inches of fresh, white snow in the past 24 hours and more snow is in the forecast starting tomorrow and should last throughout the weekend. Ski down the 86 inch base that has 1177 ski able acres open today, 480 of which are groomed by the hardworking groomers. Sixteen scenic chairlifts are open today, giving you access to 106 trails for your skiing and riding pleasure! Whether it’s groomers you’re after, or hucking your stuff down any of the extreme runs open, Crested Butte has something out there for everyone! With the sun staying out later, you now have more time to relax outside after skiing and riding Crested Butte’s magnificent terrain! Enjoy après ski specials at many of our base area restaurants including Butte 66, where you can enjoy a brew with a view and Atmosphere Restaurant, where the bonfire is sure to keep you nice and toasty while you’re outside enjoying some tasty hors devours. If you’re feeling thirsty or hungry while you ski, head on over to one of the always satisfying restaurants located on the mountain. Grab a stool at the Ice Bar or kick your feet up on one of the Adirondack chairs at Paradise Warming House. No matter when your taste buds are asking for a treat, there is a place on the mountain to satisfy everyone’s cravings! Always wanted to race but were a little nervous to try it? Well here's your chance to face your fears! The Boarder/Skier Cross Course is a race course accessible from the Goldlink Chair Lift that gives you the opportunity to practice your speed skills and race against your friends...for free! Come on out and give it a try-remember practice makes perfect! Snow is in the forecast for the latter part of the week, but for now, enjoy the sun and snow at Crested Butte Mountain Resort!
