Announcements
Hi there, skiers and riders! It’s crisp and clear at 5:30 am, but you can expect higher temps today and a 50% chance of snow. The four inches of new snow that we’ve had in the last week has made skiing and riding nice and smooth for spring break guests and locals with a little spare time on their hands. And you know that our exceptional team of groomers has been out all night perfecting 470 acres of Colorado’s Best Corduroy. With our natural snow depth at 86” and a total of 106 trails to explore, spend everyone else’s hump day demonstrating that you won’t let the man get you down!

If you’re in town visiting, or need yet another excuse to make your way to Crested Butte for a little R & R, call the new Mountain Concierge at 970-349-4554. The Mountain Concierge is your valley-wide information source and is available to book all your activities, including Last Tracks Dinners. Ride the Red Lady Express Lift up to the Ice Bar and Restaurant for a gourmet dinner and then ski, snowboard, or snowshoe back to the base area. A truly unique dining experience, for sure.

If improving your skiing or riding is on your list of things to do this winter, let the skilled instructors of Crested Butte Mountain Schools help you reach your goal. And, since Crested Butte is well-known for its challenging Extreme Terrain, try the “Extremes with Ease” program. “Extremes with Ease” is a new program available for the strong intermediate skier or snowboarder. Stop by the Adventure Center or the Axtel Building, and inquire about this hot new program that will help you explore Crested Butte’s extreme terrain without getting into trouble! Call 970-349-2252 for more information.

In other fun news, in response to continued interest from Colorado residents, Colorado Ski Country USA is organizing an initiative to offer a ski themed license plate for vehicles registered in Colorado. Colorado had a ski plate in 1958 but has not had one in 49 years. In asking the state for a ski license plate, CSCUSA must submit an application that includes a list of 3000 names of individuals interested in a ski plate, to the Colorado Department of Revenue. The signatures on the list must be people with a valid Colorado address. People interested in supporting the ski license plate can add their name to the list of interested parties by visiting www.ColoradoSkiPlate.com and including their full name, complete address, county and number of sets of license plates they would potentially be interested in purchasing.

It’s going to be another super day here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort; come see for yourself why the locals call this place paradise. Have a great day, and I’ll see you on the hill!
