Good Morning skiers and riders! Spring has sprung! Today is indeed the first day of Spring and it's looking beautiful outside! Although we received no new snow in the last 24 hours, we are still enjoying the twenty inches of snow that we have been blessed with in the last seven days. Today's conditions will be very spring-like with temperatures in the high thirties and calm winds out of the north at about 3 MPH.

It's been a great season with a total of 367 inches of snowfall so far! Today is a wonderful day to get up here and enjoy yourselves on an amazing 89 inch base. All lift are currently running giving you access to 106 trails. Thanks to our hard working grooming teams, 480 acres have been groomed and our groomer's choice for today is Crystal!

Get ready folks because today is the Telemark Extremes! Over 100 free-heelers take to the slopes to compete in this Telemark freeskiing event complete with welcome reception and awards party. The two-day big mountain event attracts the biggest names in the telemark industry and is unique to Crested Butte. Free telemark demos and specialty clinics also take place during this Telemark celebration. For more information on this event, call 970-349-2217 or email events@cbmr.com.

The weekend will culminate with the 32nd Annual Al Johnson Memorial Uphill/Downhill Telemark Ski Race which is a popular local telemark race named after a diehard 19th century Crested Butte mailman who delivered mail to remote mining camps. The Al Johnson is truly a Crested Butte original! Hundreds of costumed participants ascend 600 vertical feet to the crest of the NorthFace, and then race down the double-black diamond terrain to the finish. You can call (970) 349-1323 or visit www.aljohnsonrace.com for more information.

Don't forget that Sunday is Easter and the Easter Bunny will be paying a special visit to two locations in Mt Crested Butte! Join us in the outdoor courtyard at Mountaineer Square for a FREE Easter egg hunt on Sunday, at 11:00 am. All kids must be accompanied by an adult. This event is for children up to 10 years old. Also, for children visiting Kid's World there will be another Easter egg hunt in the Kid's World Corral at 11:00 a.m. on Easter morning.

It's shaping up to be another spectacular weekend here at Crested Butte Mountain Resort! It's nice to see all you new visitors and returning guests, over the Spring Holidays! Enjoys yourselves today and we look forward to seeing you on the slopes!
