Chinese medicine is a healing modality that was developed in China between 3,000 to 5,000 years ago. This system of medicine has been time-tested with amazing results in the treatment of all types of illness, including the treatment of difficult and chronic diseases. Here in the United States, the National Institute of Health recently validated the use of acupuncture in pain management and in decreasing the side effects of chemotherapy. Additionally, the NIH has awarded the largest reasearch grant to date concerning complimentary medicine for a study comparing modern medicien with Chinese medicine in the treatment of endometriosis (a painful disease in women's health). This research is currently being explored. The general public and M.D.'sare quickly discovering the powerful effects of this ancient healing system. Chinese medicine consists of four major modalities:

Acupuncture

Herbalism

Massage

Qigong.

In our modern times we are facing very real health care problems. I believe it is imperative for the public to be empowered and educated by having options for optimal health and wellness.

ACUPUNCTURE

Acupuncture is the insertion of thin, virtually painless pins through the skin to adjust the body's energy, leaving one feeling more whole and complete.

FIVE-ELEMENT ACUPUNCTURE

Classical Five-Element Acupuncture is a powerful systen of natural healing with ancient Taoist roots. It treats the underlying energetic imbalances that casue illness. By treating the root of illness, the body, mind, and spirit heal form the inside out, allowing one to feel a deeper sense of well-being. As in traditional acupuncture, a series of treatments is suggested for maximum benefit.

CHINESE HERBALISM

Being nationally certified as a Chinese herbalist, you benefit from the amazing healing potential of what herbalism has to offer.

MASSAGE or ASIAN BODYWORK

Tuina is a Chinese massage focused on specific injuries such as low back pain, sciatica, stiff neck, and frozen shoulder.
Shiatsu is a Zen-style Japanese massage that adjusts the body's energy. It is both relaxing and energizing.

QIGONG

Qigong is a gentle, therapeutic art that combines movement, visualization, and med itation to assist healing.
