YOGA FOR THE PEACEFUL is a grassroots studio locally owned and operated by Monica Mesa, featured on the local cbtv show, YOGA MOUNTAIN HIGH. We are proud to be a green studio dedicated to Neem Karoli Baba and Shiva Rea, and are devoted to unity in diversity, local & global activism, and taking Yoga off the mat and into the world!

Our boutique features retail made by local artists & companies that support earth friendly practices.

We are committed to providing Yoga for everyone, and payment options are available upon request.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Prana Vinyasa
An organic form of Vinyasa integrating Tantra, Ayurveda & all aspects of Yoga. Creative sequencing & innovative flows awaken Shakti, energize, harmonize, and empower the spirit. Inspired by Shiva Rea & the Vinyasa collective.

Gentle Yoga/Yoga for the Young at Heart
A mid-day gentle yoga session in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere. Gentle poses and breathing techniques will improve flexibility, revitalize, and restore strength and stamina.

Iyengar
A class focusing on alignment, technique, & modifying the postures with props. Great for all levels & those with injuries.

Kundalini
A dynamic blend of postures, pranayam, mantra, music and meditation for relaxation, healing, and balancing the mind and body.

Meditative Flow
A sweet flow style class with emphasis on breath, simple sequences, and no Chaturangas! A great introduction into Vinyasa.

Yoga 101
Just for beginners, those who have NEVER done a Yoga class, or those seeking to learn the fundamentals of Yoga to integrate into their life. This class will make you feel welcomed, informed, and confident in beginning a yoga practice. Look out for this monthly FREE class offered at various locales in the community.

KidsYoga
Utilizing movement, music & creative arts to introduce the gifts of Yoga to children in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Chi Yoga Flow
Integrates Chi-Gong movement forms with heart opening yoga postures. This practice has healing benefits and is challenging, yet gentle enough for all levels.

Restorative Qi Gong
A healing class which improves the respiratory, digestive, circulatory, and nervous systems. The main focus is on well being, longevity, and correcting imbalances.

Gentle Core Power
A Vinyasa class focusing on strength, balance and flow that detoxifies and exhilarates you from the inside out. This is an intro class with a gentler focus for all.

Ashtanga
A vinyasa style class taught in the tradition of Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois. Designed to teach the internal forms of Ashtanga yoga; sequencing of postures, alignment, breathing, bandhas and dristi.

Yoga for Skiers
Designed for winter sport aficionados dealing with tight hips, hamstrings, lower back, shoulder, knee therapeutics, and all over body balancing postures to give you that extra edge for the next powder day. Mellow, rejuvenating, and relaxed.

Apr├Ęs Ski
A mellow class open to ages 12-100; relax and renew after a long weekend of fun in the snow.

NIA Fitness Fusion
A combination of dance, martial arts, and yoga that is a joyful, soulful, and meaningful way to achieve power, grace and ease in the body.

Meditation
This class will include various types of meditation from many religious traditions as well as guided visualizations. This mental discipline brings awareness to ones mind, body and world and is an essential component in yoga.
