FestEVOL 2013 IS HERE! Happy snowy Saturday from Crested Butte Mountain Resort. This is Powder Hound bringing you a great report to start the weekend off right! Overnight, we saw a total of 2 inches of new powder grace our terrain. The snow is still falling and more is on the way as we are expected to receive up to 8 inches by Sunday morning. Grab the powder sticks of choice and catch a ride on the 14 lifts spinning to drop you down on 958 acres covered in white, 290 of those nicely groomed by our professional grooming team. Our base of 46 inches is spread across 100% of the beginner, intermediate and advance terrain offered up and 74% of the extreme territory open. Powder is sure to be found on all 93 trails available for your shredding enjoyment, 61 of them groomed in the best corduroy in Colorado! Do not miss out on Jokerville, the top choice of our grooming staff, and make sure you grab a seat on the Teocalli lift that has cranked up for the weekend!
After you have boogied down at FestEVOL, head for the bus and make your way downtown for Big Air on Elk where you will see the main street of Crested Butte transformed in to a super huck fest. Come watch contestants get pulled by a snowmobile down Elk Ave to huck their meat on a huge kicker with a 40ft gap. Show starts at 6pm and runs to 10pm. For more info call 970-349-6664.
