Today is the day for all free heeling thinkers to unite! The Al Johnson Memorial Uphill/Downhill Telemark Race comes to Crested Butte for the 39th time. This costumed event consists of a mad scramble up to the extremes and a final descent on The Last Steep, the bottom of which is a perfect place to watch some highly animated action. The fun begins at noon with the tag team event followed by the individual event at 1 p.m.
